City Manager Rick Rudometkin City Manager

The city manager is appointed by the city council to act as the chief administrative officer of the City of Belle Isle. The manager keeps the council fully informed as to the financial condition of the city and future needs. The manager also staffs city hall, directs and supervises city departments, enforces laws and provisions of the council, and prepares and submits the annual budget.

City Clerk

The City Council appoints the city clerk, who is charged with the following responsibilities (City Code, Section 4-11; ORD 2017-17):

  • Preparing and processing ordinances, resolutions, and contracts. 
  • Certification and attestation of all public records 
  • Coordinating and organizing municipal elections 
  • Preparing and compiling the City Council agenda and pertinent backup material 
  • Publishing all public notices for public hearings that are required by law 
  • Recording and transcribing the City Council’s official minutes 
  • Records management 
  • Serving as an information resource for the offices of the Mayor and City Council
